GO SKATEBOARDING DAY BRINGS SOCAL SKATEBOARDING BACK TO ITS ROOTS
Venice Skatepark to host largest Go Skateboarding Day celebration in Southern California

Santa Monica, CA – June 18, 2012 – Venice Beach will be destination for hundreds of SoCal skateboarders on the second day of summer this year as Red Bull and GLOBE Int. present the largest Go Skateboarding Day celebration in Southern California at the iconic Venice Skatepark, along the Pacific coast, on June 21, 2012.

CITY STOPPING CELEBRATION

Red Bull and GLOBE Int. have teamed up to make this year’s Go Skateboarding Day Venice celebration unlike any other bringing out over 500 professional and amateur skateboarders, including professional street skate athlete, Ryan DeCenzo. This year’s celebration will feature autograph signings from 10+ professional skate athletes, live music, trick competitions, giveaways, and more. Go Skateboarding Day Venice will also be featured KROQ’s ‘ROQ n Surf’ series.

RETURN TO THE ROOTS

Known as the birthplace of progressive skateboarding, this is the fifth year that Red Bull is partnering with GLOBE Int. to host Southern California’s celebration in Venice. Go Skateboarding Day Venice is part of the international Go Skateboarding Day holiday established to support skateboarding, a sport with over 25 million participants worldwide.
